Okanagan Ski Team

The Okanagan Ski Team is a FIS team based in the Kelowna area. Kids on this team are all 16 or older and are quite serious about the sport. Most of the kids live in the Okanagan zone, which includes Revelstoke, Kamloops, Kelowna, Vernon, and Penticton. But there are a few, including me, that are from different zones. We were the largest FIS team in western Canada, with about twenty athletes. This is double the average FIS team size. Our season starts in early November and goes until mid-April. During the off-season, we do lots of dryland and we go to ski camps in Mt. Hood, Oregon and Whistler, BC. Some athletes do separate camps in New Zealand, Chile or Austria. Our coaches are Derek Trussler and Dustin Koepke.
